Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Caldee(“Caldee,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Caldee iPhone app and related services (the “Service”). By downloading or using Caldee, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Caldee. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your account
You sign in using Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where permitted by law.
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Submit content that infringes others' rights or that is unlawful, or attempt to misuse the AI features to generate harmful output.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our permission.
4. AI estimates & accuracy
Caldee uses AI and third-party food databases to estimate the nutrition of meals you log. These results are approximations and may not reflect the true content of your food. You are responsible for reviewing and adjusting entries. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any nutrition estimate, food-database result, or Apple Health calculation.
5. Subscriptions, auto-renewal & cancellation
Caldee offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions sold through the Apple App Store. The following terms apply:
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. We never receive or store your payment card details — Apple processes all payments.
- Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
- Manage & cancel. You can manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Free trials. If a subscription includes a free trial, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled solely by Apple under its terms, via reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Caldee on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including all intellectual property.
7. Apple standard EULA
Your license to use Caldee is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). Where these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the terms that are more protective of you as a consumer apply for that issue. You acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for the Service and is not a party to these Terms, but is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce them.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any estimate it produces is accurate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caldee and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any reliance on nutrition estimates or health calculations. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Termination
You may stop using Caldee and delete your account at any time (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and license terms) will survive.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
